Exclamation Please! For the love of god... implement this.

So im helping a friend of mine forge 15k armor and a lag spike hits while he is trying to make a helmet. Because the game counted it as a triple click the poor SoB has 3 15k endgame helmets with MY materials. I'm unbelievably pissed. Please put a message up when you click craft.

"Are you sure you like to forge blah blah blah?"

We spend alot of time gathering materials and cash to make this crap. First time this happened and I hope the last. Please fix this. To me, who lost alot with this BS, this is a huge issue. I don't ever want to see this happen to another player. Please make armor crafting as secure as trade.

well. really. no offense.

but if you click "buy" more than once during a lag spike you are retarded..

everyone knows the game does register it. doing it is just stupid

Simple solution: Click the craft button once, and if it doesn't register right away, just wait. If it doesn't register after a while, close the crafter window and wait till the lag subsides (look at your radar and watch for jerky movements of people running around town), then try again.

Lag won't turn a single click into three. It will only delay or stop that single click from having its effect.

It was purely his mistake for being impatient. Lag happens, deal with it.

I agree that Anet arn't going to change this because a few players make mistakes. There are over 1 million people playing this game.

I bet to differ Lordhelmos. You may have had a very unfortunate incident that is VERY STUPID. But it sure as hell is not gay!! you can't call something homosexual just because it has a negative affect on you (which is very unlike a community that DOESN'T HAVE AN AFFECT ON YOU NEGATIVE OR OTHERWISE). Please make a better choice of words and leave the gay community out of it!!!!

I'd say Anet should implement pokemons and pokeballs before implementing this.

so

Read above it was a friend of mine who I lent materials to which it happened to. I've seen lag do some strange things. Teleport me into a mob, delay cast skills, teleport monsters. I'm not exactly shure what exactly happened at his keyboard but yes I agree there are some very stupid people out there, perhaps maybe the friend of mine who did this is one of them. But still, its quite a small thing to ask and it is understandable that I was pissed off as hell at the moment. Note that this is a forum for suggestions and this did spawn a problem. This is only a suggestion, not even a bad one. But besides that point this topic is already off... didnt have much to start on anyway.

I would sign if the message was like this:

"Are you sure you want 3 helms that do exactly the same or its just lag?"

to all the smartasses
Go to any online shop.
Fill in credit card info (if you have such, which I doubt you do, but I'm sure your daddy can borrow you one).
Hit submit to get to confirmation screen.
Pull out you internet cable.
Hit submit on confirmation screen.
Hit same submit again.

What do you get? You get friendly message about not clickin submit button twice and being patient... This is standard practice for any valuable transactions in distributed inviroment. If the site of your choice doesn't do that, close it and NEVER go to that url again. Even this very forum should prevent you from making same thread twice (iirc it was a hack in version vB 2.x, I'm not sure if it was moved to codebase in 3.x).
So my professional opinion is that ANet developers should get off their ass and start implementing things the way they supposed to be, especially something so dead simple. If someone tells me this takes more than 5 minutes to do (not involving localization for the popup text) he is simply not worth his salary.
I mean how bloody hard is it to detect that player is crafting the same item he crafted just a second ago? This is HIGHLY unprofessional to leave this kind things in the system. I still recall getting it rubbed into my face by my team leader last time something I made was vulnerable to double clicks and somehow made it thru QA, and it wasn't even charging customer anything.

Well, Why don't we actually talk about those of us who Saved up for Fow, but the sets we now have are not even perfect?

All my friends with FoW don't use it anymore because their FoW is underpowered.

It's really annoying when you've got all the 15k sets and then they update 3 armors AL. (I should Know, It's happened to me...)

That's the larger problem than the 3 helms...

The new armor has been out over a month and a half, and we haven't gotten our armor updated.

basically its not fool proof, anyone with brain cells to rub together, would click n if nothing seemed to happen check their inventory especially with such a high end purchase before going happy clicker on the craft button.
